Mick Taylor is the driving force behind the Lombardy's Jazz and Blues Music Weekend
The inaugural Festival is planned for Maryborough, Victoria, Australia on the 24th and 25th November, 2001.
The aim of the weekend is to provide the Goldfields community with a quality arts event.
Appearing will be: Mickey Teaze (Maryborough/Ballarat), Rockerfellas (Ballarat), Fred Sassmannshausen (Bendigo), Vida (Maryborough),Spindrift (Lexton) and Koostick Blew (Geelong).
Venues are Cambrian Hotel, Nolan St, Maryborough and Stately House Restaurant, High Street, Maryborough - both from 4.00 pm Saturday 24th November till late.
On Sunday free music is open to all in the Beer Garden of the Cambrian Hotel.
Entry Saturday is just ten dollars, which entitles you to access to both venues over the night.
Sponsors are Mid West Music, Ballarat, The Camrbian Hotel, Mc Phersons Print Group, Maryborough, the Maryborough Golf Club.

Mick Taylor lives near Maryborough, Victoria (Australia). He plays all styles of music with a heavy preference for Blues with feeling. Mick has played seriously for six years and has played with 'Blue Taxi' in Melbourne, amongst others. Presently he plays with 'MICKEY TEAZE'.
Mick plays Lee Oscar harps, as he finds them to be more reliable than other harps. "They have a great sound and the reeds can be replaced without having to buy a new harp. I use a Shure Green Bullet mic. and run it into the vocal P.A."
